CASE STUCK IN MOBILE
Steps to Resolve
This can present itself in various ways:
1. If the user is logged into IMC Mobile, a message may continuously pop-up advising cases need to be exported. When selected, a message appears that the "Case does not exist."
a. Exit out of IMC Mobile and back to the desktop.
b. Right-click on the Start button and choose Explore.
c. Browse to the c:\IMC\IMCupld folder. This folder will have IMC case links with a Send extension (.SND). Microsoft sound files also have this same extension and the files may appear as sound files.
d. Delete all links in this folder as this folder should be empty when IMC Mobile is not running.
e. Also check the c:\IMC\IMCdnld folder as described above for the upload (IMCupld) folder.
2. The second way a stuck case can present itself is when the user tries to exit IMC Mobile.
a. A window will appear indicating that cases need to be exported but when selected, a message appears that the case must be downloaded before it can be uploaded.
b. Choose the option to Exit without submitting the cases.
c. From the desktop, right-click on the Start button and choose Explorer.
d. Browse to the c:\IMC\rms\rmsdata for a Police mobile, the c:\IMC\fms\fmsdata for a Fire mobile, or the c:\IMC\ems\emsdata folder for an EMS mobile.
e. Find the casetrak.dat (Pre 6.6 build) or Casetrak.zur file, right-click on it and delete the file.
f. Find the casetrak.ety file, right-click on it and choose Copy. Right-click within the file list and choose Paste to create a file called Copy of Casetrak.ETY.
g. Right-click on that file and choose Rename. Change the filename to Casetrak.ZUR
h. Reload IMC Mobile and then exit back out and ensure the message no longer appears.
